Let’s share some differentiated resources for inclusive classrooms, focused specifically on research-based classroom practices.

  1. First, tell us why you chose the resource.
  2. Next, provide us with a link to the resource and a brief description of it.
  3. Explain how the resource works effectively, or has the potential to work effectively, with struggling readers.

If you like these resources, check out our Shop at www.literacysolutions.net and go to the Classroom Management K-5 or Classroom Management 6-12 folders to purchase materials that support effective classroom management practices. Materials can be purchased for as little as $3.95 per folder.

Reading Rockets is my favorite online resource for suggestions and ideas on readers of all learning levels not only ELLs. I have been viewing videos from this website for the past three years. I love watching the videos and looking at their PBS specials. There are many other resources that this website promotes and list. This is a great place for teachers to visit often!

I have used http://www.uen.org/k12.educator/ell/. It has many free lessons plans, teaching tips, question and answer sections and resources. It has many easy to read and use worksheets that you can print out and use with the students in the classroom. It offers a wide variety of teaching tools, like rubrics. It offers a wealth of information at many grade levels.
